What is injection Moulded Packaging?
At INTOPACK, injection moulding forms the foundation of our high quality plastic packaging. During this precise process, Polypropylene (PP) granules are heated until they become a liquid mass, which is then injected under high pressure into the mould. Inside the mould, the packaging takes on its final, perfectly defined shape.
Just before the mould closes, our high tech automation places the pre printed PP In Mould Label (IML) accurately into position. When the molten plastic is injected, it fuses completely with the label. As the material cools rapidly, it forms a single, solid, rigid 100% mono material package, where the cup and label become seamlessly one.
“The combination of injection moulding and In Mould Labelling (IML) creates a premium appearance and an exceptionally durable decoration.” - Davy Schiltmans, Sustainability Manager, INTOPACK
The injection moulding process also offers exceptional freedom of design. This enables us to produce packaging with highly detailed structures, distinctive shapes and full customisation options. From ergonomic forms and unique contours to advanced technical requirements — injection moulding allows us to deliver packaging that is both highly functional and visually distinctive.
Injection moulded packaging: high quality, precise and ideal for fully customised solutions.
