What is In Mould Labelling?
At INTOPACK, we produce packaging both with and without labels, but in most cases our customers choose In Mould Labelling (IML) and for good reason. IML is a high quality decoration technique in which the label becomes an integral part of the packaging itself. This results in a luxurious, seamless finish and makes the decoration highly resistant to wear, scratches and damage.
During the injection moulding process, the pre printed PP label fully fuses with the packaging. The result is a 100% mono material container that is highly recyclable, with decoration that fits perfectly to every shape: from smooth and round to detailed and complex.
Why choose IML?
- Premium appearance. The label and the plastic form one single piece, giving your packaging a high quality, full colour, razor sharp presentation.
- Savings in your own production process. Because the label is applied directly inside the mould, you no longer need to apply labels on your own filling line. This reduces time, costs and the risk of errors.
- Extremely durable decoration. The print is resistant to scratches, moisture and temperature changes, ideal for intensive use, refrigeration, freezing and transportation.
-
Endless creative possibilities
IML offers a wide variety of design options, including:
- Double sided printing. Perfect for adding extra product information, promotions or branding on the inside of the packaging.
- Metal look IML. Gives your packaging a premium metallic appearance.
- Writable IML. Useful for schools, hospitality, events or products that require personalisation.
- Partially transparent IML. Ideal when you want consumers to see the product inside.
-
With IML, you get the most out of your packaging, both visually and functionally.
In Mould Labelling: premium branding, smart production and endless creative freedom.
