Sustainability & ESG
At INTOPACK, we view sustainability not as a trend, but as a responsibility. Packaging plays an important role in daily life, and we are committed to ensuring that this role is fulfilled as sustainably as possible. Our ESG strategy is continuously evolving, yet we are already taking meaningful steps to reduce our impact and future proof our organisation.
Environment: Reducing our impact
We actively work to reduce our ecological footprint, starting with our own operations. Through targeted measures, we have reduced our total electricity consumption by 15% and our gas consumption by 57%. Lower energy use means lower emissions — an essential step in the right direction.
We also invest in innovation. Together with our partners, we develop technologies such as thin wall injection moulding of rPET, enabling packaging with significantly less virgin material and therefore a lower CO₂ footprint. We also use biobased materials, further reducing the CO₂ emissions of our products. These projects contribute directly to the development of circular packaging solutions.
Social: Caring for people
Our people are the foundation of INTOPACK. We ensure a safe, inclusive and supportive working environment where everyone can be themselves. We encourage personal development through training and education, and we promote well being — even with simple initiatives such as offering fresh fruit at work. Together, we build a culture focused on respect, growth and long term development.
Governance: Transparent and trustworthy
Good governance is not a formality for us — it is a cornerstone of how we operate. We follow clear processes and communicate transparently in our decision making. For our customers and partners, we strive to be a reliable and responsible business partner. This means always operating in compliance with laws and regulations, with food safety as a non negotiable standard. Compliance is not a goal in itself, but a guarantee of quality and trust.
